Want to Join Us?  Perhaps you are a young person who has heard about some of the great things we do. Maybe you have children who want to start in Beavers, Cubs, Scouts or Explorers, or perhaps you would even like to volunteer yourself.

‘Scouting is a character factory.’ Not our words, but those of our lead volunteer, chief scout Bear Grylls. Are you ready to inspire a generation of young people to experience fun, friendship and real adventure?

Volunteering doesn't necessarily mean a weekly commitment in the scout hall as a leader. The opportunities to volunteer with us are flexible. Think of something you’d like to do and chances are it’s just what we require.  This might be helping once a term to help scouts on a hike, arranging a craft activities for cubs or it might involve managing the membership list, or group finances.

Fill in the simple form to start your volunteering journey.  We'll contact you and put you in touch with a suitable Scout Group in the District.

Young People

Want your child to experience the fun, friendship and adventure of Scouting? You’re not alone. As well as the chance to take part in a range of exciting activities, scouts learn other skills as well. A recent study showed that 87% of young people said that Scouting helped them to contribute to their communities as active citizens.
